Grace Coules R.I.P.

This update comes with the sad news that parishioner Grace Coules died on Wednesday this past week, November 18th.   She died peacefully at Lions Gate Hospital with family members around her having become unwell a few days earlier. 

We join her son Keith and his wife Lynn and their children Alex and Geoffrey in giving thanks for her long and full life, at the heart of which was her marriage for over 73 years to George, who died in April 2018.  Many will remember them sitting faithfully week after week in their spot in the back pew.  Over the years Grace had been very involved in the Sanctuary Guild at St. Francis, and was often the person others looked to for guidance about the customs and traditions surrounding the altar and sanctuary – setting up the altar for communion, caring for the silverware and linens, taking care of the candles etc.  She will be greatly missed by us all. 

Because of Covid, funeral arrangements will be for limited numbers only, but we hope to have an opportunity to celebrate her life when we can come together in months to come.  May she rest in peace and rise in glory.
