There’s something amazing about hearing clearly for the first time in a long while. Whether it’s the swell of a hymn filling the sanctuary, the quiet resonance of a prayer, or the simple clarity of a spoken word—sound connects us.
For generations, the voices of our community have been carried through the old sound system at St. Francis in the Woods. It served us faithfully, amplifying sermons, music, and shared moments of worship. That system was made possible by those who came before us, who gave generously so that the Word could be heard.
Now, thanks to the incredible support of our community, we have stepped into a new chapter. With a $21,000 donation from the Diocese of New Westminster, the generous support of parishioners near and far and our matching donors, we have been able to install a brand-new sound system—one that will serve us for years to come.
A special thank you to John Moonen, who spearheaded this project with care and dedication. His leadership helped bring this vision to life, ensuring that every word spoken and every note sung will be heard, felt, and shared in the heart of our community.
So as we lift our voices together, let’s also lift our thanks—to those who made this possible, to those who have gone before us, and to the God who calls us to listen and be heard.
