September 30, 2021 marks the first National Day for Truth and Reconciliation.
This day honours the lost children and Survivors of residential schools, their families and communities. Public commemoration of the tragic and painful history and ongoing impacts of residential schools is a vital component of the reconciliation process. There are many opportunities to learn more as we wear orange shirts or ribbons.
A film has been made as one of the responses of the Anglican Church's Primates Commission on discovery, reconciliation and justice. Perhaps you would like to make it part of your commemoration of this day. You can view it here
